Lane’s class of 1964 50-year reunion
Class of 1964 50th reunion
The Lane Tech Alumni Association held a 50 year reunion for the class of 1964.
Both the January and June graduating classes were invited, and 106 guests attended the Oct. 17 event.
Executive Director Barbara Cook and Program Director Mary Beth Ficht welcomed the guests at 9 a.m. in room 113.
The alumni were then escorted to the auditorium where Mr. Mark Carrera’s and Mr. Paul Carrera’s Advanced Mixed Chorus classes performed.
Arbina Memisi, Div. 580, is in Advanced Mixed Chorus and performed for the alumni.
“We sang ‘And So It Goes’ by Billy Joel, ‘A Little Babe’ and ‘Go Lane Go.’ The audience really loved it and they were complimenting all of us. There was also an alumni crying in the audience! They all stood up and sang along to ‘Go Lane Go,’” she said.
They also received tours highlighting all the new additions to the school from student art docents.
