#TBT: Graduation
Although “June 11, 1987” sounds like a thousand years ago to current seniors, “June 9, 2015” has taken a thousand years to arrive. Senioritis is scattered all over the hallways of Lane as the class of 2015 anticipates the date that anxious students have been counting down in their planners since the day after winter break.
In 1987, Melissa Breger offered a few pieces of timeless advice to the soon- to-be-graduates. Among those, to remember the enjoyable parts of Lane like International Days and the “blooming Memorial Garden,” as well as the frustrating parts, like wearing ID’s and the impossible passing periods.
Her advice lives on. Today, seniors who are preparing to go are likely permitting bittersweet feelings about their departure. With four years of their adolescence clocked at Lane, it will be a school difficult to forget

Your generosity empowers our student reporters to investigate, write, and publish impactful stories that matter to our school community.
This website is more than a publishing platform—it's an archive, a research tool, and a source of truth. Every dollar helps us preserve and grow this resource so future students can learn from and build on the work being done today.
