Lane evacuated after bomb threat
Lane received a bomb threat this afternoon. The most recent piece of information given to students was a phone call and an email saying,
“Earlier this evening, Lane Tech was immediately evacuated after a bomb threat was directed to the school. School officials followed proper protocols, and the appropriate law enforcement authorities are at the school assessing the situation. The safety and security of students and staff is our highest priority, and we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the school. We understand you have many questions, and we will provide additional information as soon as it becomes available.”
This is a developing story that will be updated as more information becomes available.
Your donations directly fund the Lane Tech student journalism program to cover our annual website hosting costs -- which are not paid by the school or district. Your generosity empowers our student reporters to investigate, write, and publish impactful stories that matter to our school community.
This website serves as an essential archive and research tool -- as well as an enduring historical record for the Lane Tech school community. Every dollar helps us preserve and grow this resource so future students can learn from and build on the work being done today.
Thank you for supporting the next generation of journalists at Lane Tech College Prep!
