“The Good Doctor” by Neil Simon hits the Lane stage Oct. 29 and runs through Nov. 1. The play starts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 7 p.m. on Thursday, 3:45 p.m. on Friday, and 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Simon’s play is a comedy based on several stories written by Anton Chekhov, a 19th-century Russian writer and physician.

Rehearsals began in June, when all the actors were cast, and continued throughout the summer and after school in September and October.

Directed by Mrs. Meacham, “The Good Doctor” stars Lane sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
