Cubs fans gear up for winning season
Despite the 107 year losing streak, Cubs fans never cease to support the dear Cubbies. Every year loyal fans hang flags of white and blue “W”s, tell tales of Billy Goats and Steve Bartmans, bum on Wrigley bleachers, and belt out “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”.
Way back in 1989 Robert Zemeckis – Director and Cowriter of the cultastic series Back to the Future – predicted the Cubs will win the 2015 World Series.
Several people have dismissed this as a child’s dream. However, Evets Namtrab, Div. 643, is working hard to disprove those Debbie Downers.
Namtrab has been working diligently the past four months to ensure that people can look at the Back to the Future prediction with legitimacy. He has fulfilled several of the movies predictions.
“I made 15 Jaws movies. Just me, my sister’s kiddy pool, my pet dog Kerry, a swimming noodle, and my now broken Iphone,” Namtrab said. “I also experimented with hoverboards but it seems Tony Hawk has beaten me to it. The same with the self tying laces but Nike beat me to that. I tried the phone glasses but Google beat me to that. I have hope in my flying Hot Wheels car though.”
Namtrab believes once he proves these fads to be true the population will stop judging his beloved Cubs.
But what about those pesky Sox fans?
Sox fan Ozzie Winen, Div. 521, is mostly concerned about what sort of events can occur as a result of a Cub’s World Series win.
“The last time the Cubs won a Lane popped up. Lane was created in 1908. What could another win do to Lane? We are already losing a principle? This can be anarchy!”
