PITCHFORK July 15-17

This year coming to Union Park, Pitchfork is back from July 15-17. Artists for this Chicago favorite include Brian Wilson, Sufjan Stevens, Carly Rae Jepsen, and more. Recent changes to festival line-up: Car Seat Headrest’s performance is now moved to Friday, July 15; Girl Band, JLIN, and RP Boo have been moved to Saturday, July 16; and Oneman’s performance has been moved to Sunday, July 16.

LOLLAPALOOZA July 28-31

One of Chicago’s most popular music festival is back again. Lollapalooza is making this year special for its 25th anniversary by adding a fourth day, as opposed to its usual 3-day limit.

Headlining this year’s festivals are Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, and Lana Del Rey. These headliners top a huge bill of over 170 different bands. Make sure to drink lots of water.

NORTH COAST September 2-4

Well known as “Summer’s Last Stand,” North Coast will return this year for another fantastic show. The headlining shows this year include Odesza,

Bassnectar, Zedd, Logic, and many more. North Coast is also one of the more affordable Chicago festivals, compared to its other summer competitors.

This results in a large population of young people that come to this festival every year.

RIOT FEST September 16-18

Riot Fest will be coming back for its second year in its new location, Douglas Park. This mix between a music festival and a carnival has been a Chicago favorite since 2005. It has expanded to Toronto, as well as Denver. This year the lineup includes NAS, The Wonder Years, and Neck Deep.
